Ronaldo and Pogba in a champions league match at Old Trafford

Manchester United were beaten one nil by Juventus at their own turf, The Old Trafford. The results leave the red devils five point behind Group G leaders Juventus.

Juventus’ winning goal was scored by the 24 year old Talisman, Paulo Dybala. The Argentine striker took advantage of a loose ball in the box and thumbed it past De Gea.

The results might portray it was a close context but that was far from the truth. Jose Mourinho’s boys were on the hind foot for most part of the game. They were opened time to time by the fluid flowing football from the Italian giants.

Paul Pogba tried to put the contest level with an incredible long range shot but his effort saw the ball hit the outside of the post and deflected away harmlessly by the diving keeper, Wojciech Szczęsny.

Mourinho gave his honest verdict at the end of the game saying, “We played against one of the biggest, really biggest candidates, to win the Champions League and we did the possible,” he said.

Manchester united team bus arrived to the ground late after they were caught in traffic. After the game Mourinho revealed he walked to Old Trafford from the team’s hotel which is around 0.6 Kilometres away.

“I walked with a hoodie in the middle of the fans and nobody recognized me,” said Mourinho. “It took two minutes.”

When asked also how the team is behind Juve, Morinho said, “A bit far. Juventus are champions for seven years in a row, two Champions League finals in the last four or five years and not happy with what they have, they want more.

Juve now require one point from the coming fixture to assure them of a qualification to the knockout stages.

Juventus lead the group with 9 followed by Man U with 4 points. Currently sitting in third place of Group H is Valencia with two points after holding onto that precious point at Young boys at the Stade de Suisse.
